Hi,
In EazyBI, I created a Google Sheet import, of rates per person. The rates have a date from which the rate is applicable.
The import itself seems to work, but if I have a person with multiple rates in the sheet, only the last record is visible in EazyBI.
Ex. For person X i have:
When I create a report based on "Logged By" and "Time", all the dates show the rate of 120. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. My import looks like this.
Any idea what i'm doing wrong here?
Best regards,
Kris
Hi @elita_kalane ,
Thanks for the screenshots. I got them now.
I recreated the report, but I don't seem to be able to get results. The import seems to run without errors. But when i delete the data from the import afterwards, it states that no records were imported. Not sure if this has something to do with my changes.
Best regards,
Kris
The fact that the import runs without errors but does not import anything makes me assume that the logged by user names you have in your spreadsheet, do not find a match in the Logged by dimension, user level within eazyBI.
When you import person rates, eazyBI tries to match the usernames in your google sheet with the usernames that already exist in your eazyBI account. If the names don't match exactly, eazyBI skips those rows.
Your spreadsheet file might have "john.smith" but eazyBI has "jsmith" or John Smith
Here is what I recommend doing
If you take a look at the screenshots I shared from eazyBI and my test excel file, you will notice that the Logged By names match exactly in eazyBI and in the file I imported.

Attaching them here again:
Heres my data set
Here's how you can clone the column:
Map the cloned cloumn to the Logged by dimension
Edit the properties
Apply the row filter for the imported Date count measure.

Hi @Kris Dewachter
Well done with the mapping! It's only missing a slight improvement
Here's an example on my data:
You'll see I have a few people with rate changes, and for those rates, I have different dates.
Besides what you have already mapped - clone the Date column :
Map the same Date column as a property to the Logged by dimension, as I've shown in the screenshot below and edit the settings
Complete the settings similarly as shown below. You can choose different naming patterns, but make sure the Date count dimension is attached to Time.
Once you import the data, you will have some new measures you can use (Issues with Rate effective date) to tie the rates to the Time dimension. Apply the Row filter for the Date countmeasure as shown in the screenshot below. This will connect the rate dates to the time dimension, even if the user has more than one line/rate in the google sheets.
I hope this works! Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

Hi @elita_kalane ,
Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, I can not see the screenshots in your reply.
Can you add them again?
Best regards,
Kris
