Hi Experts,
When my team tried to find Edit Button in a ticket, given that they are having the permissions, they were unable to find any as follows:
I did not add any values in the workflow;
I did not download any plugins;
Thank you in advance if any experts come across this.
In the new issue view, which you are showing, the “edit” button is no longer present. All available fields can be edited on the screen.
if you need the Edit issue button you will need to switch back to the old issue view. However, realize that the old view will disappear at some point in the future.

Allen,
Please check and make sure that the users project role has edit permissions on the permission scheme. You can do this by identifying what role the user has on the project by going to Project Settings > People. Then search for the individual and see what roles they have. Once you know their roles you can click Permissions (In the Project Settings Menu) scroll down to edit issue and make sure that the role has the ability to edit the issue. If they do not you can edit the permissions to add the role or you can edit their roles and add them to one that has the edit permission.

Hi Brant,
Thank you so much for replying my question. Many thanks!
The problem is that me and my coworker started a new project (by default) in Jira Software by which it did not show the Edit Button (we figured this was a feature by default).
We also checked the permission scheme too.
Me as a admin was granted all the access yet the button just didn't show for no any apparent reason.
Hi Jack,
Yes, the available fields can be edited on the screen. But, the edit issue button is important for our team to update information in fields that are shown ONLY in the edit issue screen.
