Edit private Dashboards & Filters as an admin?

Hello,

I am looking for a way to edit private dashboards and filters within our company. So far i have found that through the admin settings i can find a list of all of the filters and dashboards but all i can do is change owner and trash. 

Do i have to change the owner to myself to be able to do anything with the item or am i maybe missing some kind of security role to be able to edit someone else's items?

Yes, you have to make yourself the owner of the filter or dashboard in order to edit it.
