Editing an issue to add additional comments/attachments using JSON import

Hi,

I could import the issues using externalID, succssfully.

Further, I need to update the issue by adding comments and attachements. if i reference using the same extenal id, am getting following message and the detailed error downloaded.

Not sure, what is wrong here. Can anybody help me. Thanks.

It looks like you have not included the existing issue key to tell the import it needs to be an update.  With no existing key, it is looking to create new issues, and then spotting that you already have issues that have the same summary, so it's not creating duplicates.

For updates to existing issues, you need to give it the existing key.

Do you mean the issue ID? I did try with "id" and "key". Still not working and getting same error.

Am I doing anything wrong, here? Thanks.
