Editing workflow

I have a workflow which is shared by 4projects but i need to edit the workflow for only one project 

also how to make the inactive workflow as active

can you please help me out with the steps

Hi @Deepika ,

You can't edit workflow for only one project, when it is shared with 4 projects. 

Alternatively you can create a copy of the work flow and do the changes and attach this updated workflow to your project.

 

Inactive workflow means it is not associated with any project. If the workflow is associated with any project ,it will become active workflow.

Hi, Thanks for you help

But i have created the copy of a workflow and did the changes as well but it is inactive  again if i go back to particular wer i have to add the edited workflow i m not getting an option for adding the edited workflow 

can you please tell the steps of wat has to be done , since i am new to jira it would be helpfull

You have to create workflow schema for the same or copy same workflow schema and rename it. In the new workflow schema you can associate your workflow for your issue type. 

Go to your project administration and associate the new workflow schema. So automatically the workflow will become active.
