Email Notifications on jira

I encountered this problem since I started trialing this app, my team had complained they received bulky of unnecessary emails to them so that they are not able to figure out the useful one, now my question is, since they are just the observer of projects,

1. I want to send them the emails only when I mentioned to them and

2. this email mention should be different from other auto-sending emails, what should I do?

Looking for anyone's quickly reply, really appreciate it!

You can customize your notifications if you go to

Project Settings - > Notifications

Hi @Jerome_Mark_Wee, is it because I am using next-gen project? The notification filter isn't shown in Project setting as you mentioned. I remembered I found it somewhere and did do the notification setting for projects, but it seems I still cannot stop system from sending useless auto email to my team such as an alert about revising some word in the comment. Where is the problem?

HI @Alicia Y - Can you please let me know if you are using server or cloud based jira?

If you are using cloud based:

1. Navigate to your projects folder
2. Go to the project where they are receiving updates / notifications
3. Once you're inside the project, you should be able to navigate to project settings
4. Then, you can find the notifications. Just removed them on the list
5. If your colleagues are part of the group, then you might want to customize that group
