Hi Team,
For a particular project , we are unable to receive any email to reporter whenever the issue is being created. The notification scheme was configured properly and is mapped to notify reporter when issue is being closed/complete.
The email notification is working for other events but not for Issue closed.
Please let us know if we need to manually configure the email particularly for Issue closed Event.
Thanks,
Nidhi
You first say no email when created, then you say closed. Is it both or is created a typo?
Is it for all issue types in the project?
The notification is driven by the notification event in the closed transition. I would check the transition to closed actually has the issue closed notification event.
Email is coming up but not for issue closed event and is not coming to reporter of the issue.

You need to verify what event is used for the close and that event is set in the notification scheme to send to the reporter. Someone may have modified it. Notifications are driven be the event in the post function and the notification scheme. Make sure the user doesn't have any rules filtering JIRA emails. If the event is firing and the notification scheme is set to notify reporter and it still isn't working I'd open an issue with Atlassian.

Yes Joe, We checked that the event is getting called up and even in that case the email is not being sent.
Thanks,
Nidhi

Is it failing for every reporter or just that one? Are other users being notified when the issue is closed? Is it every workflow or just one? If no one is being notified I suggest a test;
1. create a new custom event
2. replace the close event with the custom event in one workflow and update the notification scheme to notify everyone currently being notified and see if they now get notified. If so, it would seem the close event is corrupted.
If it is just the one user I don't have any more ideas.
