Email notifications not working for colleague

Hi

My colleague is not receiving email notifications for any Jira Software issues that they create when I update them. Not even hours after the update. It is just the two of us using the account.

Please note the following:

  1. Emails are not going to spam
  2. Their profile is set to receive email notifications
  3. Notification helper shows that they should receive email notifications when checking various Jiras that created
  4. They are both the watcher and reporter for all these
  5. The updates are by me. Their profile is set to not receive their own updates, but that doesn't apply here
  6. They are able to see the notifications within Jira via the bell icon at the top right of the screen
  7. They are receiving email notifications for Jira Service Management projects, although they each have custom email addresses and Jira Service Management is different to Jira Software
  8. I receive email notifications when my colleague creates or updates issues and we use the same email provider on the same custom domain. The project is still set to the default of notifying All Watchers, Current Assignee and Reporter for all events
  9. The email notifications for Jira Software are on the default atlassian.net email address

Any ideas on what else to check?

It sounds like the issue may be related to the default notifications set up by your Jira admin. To make sure relevant updates are batched together, notifications could be delayed by up to 10 minutes. You may also want to edit the notifications your team-managed project sends by following the steps outlined in the text.

I prefer the emails are delayed and notifications are batched together. However this does not explain why they never receive notifications, not even hours later. I've updated my question to explicitly state this.

As stated above in point 8, the project settings notify "All Watchers, Current Assignee and Reporter for all events". They are the reporter and a watcher. Therefore it does not appear to be the project settings. If you are referring to a different setting, could you please be more specific?
