Enable inline editing on the "Assignee" field for a subtask issuetype

Hi JIRA Gurus,

How do I enable inline editing on the "Assignee" field for a subtask issuetype by default?

Make sure the assignee field is on the edit screen for that issue type, and that the user has "assign issue" rights in the project.

I believe that you also need "edit permissions" at least this is what I noticed on the latest JIRA versions.
