Epic Link Required to Close Story

Hi All,

I am a new JIRA admin and was asked to make the Epic link required before closing a Story, Task, Spike, and Bug card. Would anyone know how to do this in a project?

Currently for this implementation I would recommend https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/5048/jsu-automation-suite-for-jira-workflows?hosting=server&tab=overview 

This plugin provides additional workflow functionality, the important one here being the "Fields Required" validator (see here on how to add a validator to a JIRA transition https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/advanced-workflow-configuration-776636620.html)

Once you add this validator you can select any field that has to have a value, and display a custom error message to the user.
