Up until recently, the status of Epics (TO DO, IN QUEUE/ON HOLD, IN PROGRESS, DONE) were being displayed in our board view, while our epics were collapsed. They were displaying last Wednesday, then they weren't on Thursday. This is not a change that any of our project admins made, and we can't figure out how to get it back. Does anyone know how to get this feature enabled?

Does the image you provided represent what you see now, or what you saw before?
If it is what you saw before, what do you see now?
I see that you are viewing a board for a Team Managed project. If you want the board to show as it does in the image you need to set the Group By option to Epics.
That is what it showed before. Luckily I had recorded a meeting, so I was able to get a screenshot of what it looked like before. Now, it looks exactly the same, but without the statuses shown (see below). In both instances, we were grouping by epic.

Oh, I see! Pardon me for failing to read your post as closely as I should. You did clearly say the problem was that the Status values are now missing from the display for the Epics.
I am seeing the same thing in my own instance and other instances to which I have access. I don't see anything about it in the last weekly updates notice.

I recommend that you ask your Jira Administrators to open a support case directly with Atlassian to find out more about this change and see if it can be reverted. And it would be great if you report back here what you learn.

I actually have this same issue. Up until a week ago, in my team managed project board, the status of epics would show as described above. All of the sudden they are gone so you can no longer see what status an epic is in without clicking through.
Today, I changed the status of an epic and for a couple seconds the status did show for that epic and then it also disappeared.

The statuses came back again on the board view this morning. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm hopeful they don't disappear again.

Same for me. I did have our admin put in a ticket in yesterday. But cross your fingers it sticks around!

But I still, or again, have the problem on my instance and other instances I have checked.
I did not check it earlier today when folks were posting that it appeared to be fixed.

Yep, the statuses are gone again for us as well. They were there on Thursday but gone again on Friday. It's very frustrating.
