Epics - Monthly

Hi, New to JIRA - Wonder if there is a way to create an EPIC that has a start date of 1st of each month for a year - We have a new process that has to start each month and to save time wondered if you can create 1 that appears each month without having to create a new EPIC each month?

Hi @Jason Lane  and welcome to the community.

You could achieve this with automation.  You can use a schedule trigger and action to create a new issue of type epic.

Hi Mark, Thank you for the fast response.

I assume in the automation you can use a date function to trigger on 1st of each month into the Roadmap? It looks clogged at the moment as i have added 1 project each month for something else but would love to only see them as and when is needed.

Yes it is possible via automation for jira one can create a scheduled job to run so that a epic will be created every month.

A sample rule Like this:
