For some reason, my Active sprint view shows Epics as swimlanes and stories that are under the epic.
In board config I put "Base Swimlanes on Stories"
In case I add "Issuetype != Epic" in the board filter, they are still displayed.
The sprint field in epic is empty.
Thank you in advance for your help
Had the same issue, fixed by removing sprint from epic, dunno if there's another noob like me running around
So it seems nobody has ideas about this issue. Will be investigating this by myself, will post solution if I find one

Sorry for the delay in responding. Would you please post a pic of what your board is showing? I just tried this with a test board, with various mixes of epics, stories, and subtasks, and I cannot repro what you are describing.
Thanks,
Bill

Is this a classic or Next Gen board? If Next Gen, I don't know much about that feature set of Jira.
Thanks!

Hey @Bill Sheboy , this is classic.
The only thing that comes to my mind, is that it can be caused by Aha integration

Hi vzymo@softserveinc.com ... I haven't use Aha, and from my short read on the features, the grouping by epics may be an intended behavior. Consider pinging Aha support / documentation to confirm that. If that doesn't help, I'd submit a support ticket to Atlassian.
Good luck, and best regards,
Bill

Or, just https://support.atlassian.com/

Hi, I have the same issue. Epics appear in the Active Sprint board in the "Other issues" category. Did you manage to fix it somehow? Thank you!

From what I remember, the problem was not in the Aha integration.
In our case, the root cause of the issue was the migration from Next Gen to Classic at some moment of time. The Epics that were created before the migration, were partially affected (there was no logic or pattern).
We just closed the affected epics and created new ones, that was it.

Hi vzymo@softserveinc.com and welcome to the community!
What is your board's complete filter? Knowing that will help to diagnose the issue.
Best regards,
Bill
