Epics link in issues do not align to the epics created on my roadmap

Hi,

 

I have created a series of epics on my roadmap BUT when i create an issue and try and link it to the new roadmap epics created I am not getting the same list. I am seeing a different, OLD list of epics.

 

Please can someone help me with this.

Check your epics old as well as new.
The field epic name is used for epic links while the summary is used for the roadmap. Epics have special fields called epic status and epic name which are used in some situations while the regular summary and status is used for something else.

Also in case you are using Jira cloud you can simply create issues as children of an epic directly from within the roadmap, which saves you some time as you do not have to link them manually to an epic.
