I am trying to migrate a project from team-managed to company-managed. I have set up the company-managed project so that it is 1-1 identical to the team-managed project, but I am still getting this error towards the end of the final step of moving the issues from one project (team) to the other (company). This is the message I'm getting:
CommentChecklist Text (view-only): Warning, the renderer type in the project you are moving to differs for this field, all the moved issues will be effected.
CommentBug Description: Warning, the renderer type in the project you are moving to differs for this field, all the moved issues will be effected.
CommentIssue Description: Warning, the renderer type in the project you are moving to differs for this field, all the moved issues will be effected.
I looked this up and someone suggested I create a new field configuration scheme for the project and then for these specific fields, change the renderers for each field. But when I go to search for the fields in my Jira instance, I find nothing. Any guidance would be appreciated!
Hey Claudia,
By default, the text fields in the team-managed projects use the Wiki Style Renderer, and there's no way to update it.
There is a feature request to address it: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-25653
This warning message indicates that the fields in your company-managed projects use the default renderer and therefore, there's a mismatch.
In your company-managed project, please navigate to Project Settings > Issues > Fields, and edit the field configuration using the pencil icon on the right side.
Then search for the field, and click on Renderers under the actions column. Here you can update it to Wiki Style Renderer and save the changes.
This should address the above warning messages.
Reference document: Configure renderers
Thanks,
Karan
This is helpful, however I can't find the fields to change the renderers. I don't have any fields called "CommentChecklist Text (view-only)", "CommentBug Description", or "CommentIssue Description". How can I find these?
