Existing feature request to manage issues from "Issues in Epic" widget?

My sense is that there should be a way to do two things as a standard user without writing any code:

  1. add and remove columns in an epic's Issues in Epic widget
  2. reorder the issues in this view

I use the epic issue details view all the time to get a better sense of its backlog and status, since the overall backlog view hides closed issues and masks detail.

Do others have the same opinion? Is there an existing issue or issues I can up-vote and follow? I'm not new to Jira but haven't been active in the forum lately and am haven't found the means of reviewing and adding Jira feature requests.

Thanks,

Dennis

Hello Dennis,

Welcome to Atlassian Comunity!

The correct channel to add/vote/watch for new feature requests and bugs in Atlassian applications is:

https://jira.atlassian.com

In fact, I agree with you that the customization of the columns and the order of the Issues in Epic widget would be very useful for the customers that need a general view of all issues related to a specific Epic. That's why we have created the feature requests below:

Ability to change the order of the Issues in Epic

Add facility to change what is displayed in the 'Issues in Epic' panel

Please, feel free to vote and watch the feature requests above and also comment your feedback about this lack.

For now, the best workaround I was able to find would be to configure a filter with the Epic Link parameter to return the issues of a specific Epic. I understand that this is not an ideal option since you must edit the Epic link every time to return the relevant issues, however, this view gives you the ability to sort and customize the columns as you need:

Let me know if I can help you with anything else.
