In "Configure Board" i can activate the days a ticket stays in a column.
Is there any way i can export this data? Can I only see this data in the Active Sprint section?
Hello @Antonio Patron
I guess, there is no solution without the out-the-box add-ons, but you can try one of them and solve the issue)
I can recommend Time in Status for Jira Cloud, which is easy to use and can export time in status data in a few clicks.
This add-on is developed by my team. Please, let me know if you have any questions. Also, there is a 30-days free trial.
Hope it helps)

Hello @Antonio Patron
This information is not stored in a field, but rather is calculated on demand for the display. As such it is not a field that you can display in search results nor export as part of search results, unfortunately.

Thank you Trudy! I was looking for this explanation but the answers provided only related to issues time in status and not the amount of time an issues stays in a column on the board. Looks like unfortunately, you can't generate a report for issues time in columns.

Welcome to the Atlassian community!
That is correct.
A board Column is just a container for mapped issue Statuses. Multiple Statuses can be mapped to a single column. And an issue can appear on multiple boards and be in different columns in each board. Because of this there really is no reasonable way for Jira to track how long an issue is in a Column. Jira would have to recognize the presence of the issue on any number of boards with disparate column definitions.

Hi @Gayle Hutchings ,
Assuming that you have multiple statuses(e.g. "In Development" and "In Testing")mapped to a board Column(e.g. "In Progress"). What you are looking for is the sum of time spent on status "In Development" and "In Testing". This can be achieved with both Status Time Reports and Status Time Free apps. Each of the apps can provide you time in grouped statuses. That is, inside app's reporting page there is the functionality to define your status groups. Once you create a status group named "In Progress" and then add "In Development" and "In Testing" statuses under it, report will show sum of time spent on status "In Development" and "In Progress" as in the below screenshot. Hope it helps.

Hello @Antonio Patron
If you are OK with using a marketplace app for this, our team at OBSS built Timepiece - Time in Status for Jira for this exact need. It is available for Jira Server, Cloud, and Data Center.
Time in Status mainly allows you to see how much time each issue spent on each status and on each assignee.
The app has Consolidated Columns feature. This feature allows you to combine the duration for multiple statuses into a single column and exclude unwanted ones. It is the most flexible way to get any measurement you might want. Measurements like Issue Age, Cycle Time, Lead Time, Resolution Time etc.
Time in Status has Custom Calendar function which allows you to create as many different working calendars as needed and get reports based on them.
For all numeric report types, you can calculate averages and sums of those durations grouped by the issue fields you select. For example total in-progress time per customer (organization) or average resolution time per sprint, week, month, issuetype, request type, etc. The ability to group by parts of dates (year, month, week, day, hour) or sprints is particularly useful here since it allows you to compare different time periods or see the trend.
The app calculates its reports using already existing Jira issue histories so when you install the app, you don't need to add anything to your issue workflows and you can get reports on your past issues as well. It supports both Company Managed and Team Managed projects.
Time in Status reports can be accessed through its own reporting page, dashboard gadgets, and issue view screen tabs. All these options can provide both calculated data tables and charts.
And the app has a REST API so you can get the reports from Jira UI or via REST.
Using Time in Status you can:

As an alternative, you can try Status Time Reports app developed by our team which is available for Jira Server/Data Center/Cloud. It mainly provides reports and gadgets based on how much time passed in each status.
Here is the online demo link, you can see it in action and try without installing the app. You can have a look at "Time in Status for Each Issue" report for your case.
If you are looking for a free solution, you can try the limited version Status Time Free.
Hope it helps.
