We have a lot of information stored on a hosted JIRA instance that does not belong to us. And we have a cloud-based JIRA that does.
We need to export some individual projects, including all configuration and issues. So Boards, Sprints and fields etc.
Basically, pick up the entire project in one go, and drop it into a new instance.
I can see that admin access is required in both instances, but also that this tool appears to be what I want:
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Hey Toby!
What you are trying to achieve here is to move project from Server instance to a Cloud instance am I correct? Or Server to Server?
Project Configurator for Jira is exactly what you need if your case is around moving projects from Server to Server (or Data Centers). It supports all those configs and issues you listed.
If you are going from Server to Cloud, Atlassian has a Cloud migration assistant that might be useful to you? Please check: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/use-the-jira-cloud-migration-assistant-to-migrate-from-server-to-cloud-993925215.html
Hope this helps!
Jannina
Thanks Jannina,
That may indeed be what we're after.
