Exporting from Jira to Google Sheets adds empty lines to cells

Jeff Gerke August 21, 2019

When I export from Jira to Google sheets there are blank lines added to most of the cells in some columns.  Not sure what is causing this but I have to go in and manually delete the lines to collapse the cells.  Otherwise the cells have data in the upper part of the cell then 2-3 blank lines below. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue without manually editing each cell which is time consuming.

I don't get this behavior, can you share a screenshot so we can understand better the problem? I am assuming you are referring to this product: Jira Cloud for Sheets. Is it this one?

Yes, I am using Jira Cloud for Sheets.  Here is a screen shot of some of the cells that have empty lines inserted.

@Jeff Gerke I see, I am not getting this behaviour on my mac:

I am using 1.6.10 plugin version. In my case I retrieve all the information through a JIRA filter, I don't think it is relevant, but...

I was able to export the result into a CSV file and there is no extra line I also opened the download file with Microsoft Excel for Mac v. 16.27 and it looks as expected.
