When I perform an external import from CSV into a project, all of the various statuses show up in JSM as the same status. In the file they are various statuses of the correct set that match what is offered in the project. Each line in the CSV does end up with a value for status, it just doesn't always match what was in the file because they all show up as "Waiting on Customer"
Hi @Malka Jackson [Isos Technology] ,
While using the external Import did you check the "Map field value" Check box?
I usually use that while importing tickets which have different statuses, else the auto mapping doesn't quite work as we expect it to.

I second to read this as this is a recommended step to take to make sure all statuses in the CSV are correctly mapping to the statuses in Jira

There was an unaccounted for status that we didn't catch until we did the Map field value. Thanks for this call out.

Hi @Malka Jackson [Isos Technology]
This problem may arise from a misconfiguration in the CSV import mapping. Make sure that the CSV import settings accurately map the various status values in the file to their corresponding status options in the JSM project. Correctly configuring the mapping will ensure that the imported statuses are displayed correctly and not consistently shown as "Waiting on Customer" in JSM.
