'Failed to Load' Attachments

Josh Cable August 31, 2021

Hey all,

I have seen 'similar' questions raised but none that specifically reference issues raised via email request...at least I can't see any that match my query.

So, the scenario is thus:

1. Users raises a ticket via email and attaches files.

2. Ticket appears in JIRA, but the attachments are no where to be seen. (only failed to load images from email signature, but no reference to attached files).

Interestingly enough, this particular board has a JIRA Service Desk side to it, and the tickets show there, with the attachments.

That is pretty much it!

Thank you for your time.

Is this JSM or JSW project? You posted in Jira but the body references JSM. Can you provide a screenshot of one of the issues that was opened with an attachment via email? I am particularly interested in the detail issue view.

This issue is in a JSW project (The JSM counterpart works fine, the users just don't want to have to switch between the two just to see attachments, in spite of my HEAVY suggestion they do so...).

And I think this is the screeny you are after:

For the JSW project please verify that the user creating the issue via email has add attachment permissions.

Ah, where would I go to see these users specifically? Project Settings>Access?

EDIT: Sorry I am being dense. In the test example, I am the one reporting the issue and I am an admin of the project itself. So I would Assume the answer is 'Yes, I do have permissions'.
