Hi all,
I'm trying to use simple Resolution screen when transition = DONE, and need to remove <Comment> field, not matter what field I tried to add to my screen final screen always comes with Comment field under the define field. Even for Custom Fields.
I went thru all available Fields in my Jira, and tried to create Custom Fields with with text type and use them for my screen. Nothing helped. No matter what I tried, Comment box comes as a free bonus.
Is it possible to create Custom Field /Screen with only single free text box. How I can get rid to wipe Comment box ?
Alternatively I can use only Comment box without any other field, but not sure if it's possible to create screen without any other field.
Thanks
Dimas
Hello @Dima Astahov
The Comment field will display on workflow transition screens as long as the user has the permission to add comments to the issue. The only way to prevent the Comment field from showing on a transition screen is to remove the user's permission to add comments to the issue.
There is a change request about this to which you can add your vote/comment:
Thanks much Trudy !!!

I also found this thread but stuck on the adding javasript step, probably it's not longer valid
