×Hi
I have configured fields using field configuration, used some of these fields in my screen which is linked to my screen scheme and I have specific fields visible in my issue layout for specific issue types.
However when I create a new issue, I don't see those fields by default!
I can get them to show up by pressing configure fields, but I need them showing for all users when they press create.
Any ideas what I need to do?
Thanks
Dave
so do you have a Create screen scheme that includes a screen and the desired fields?
so when you click on Create and get the screen below then click on "where is my field" what does it convey?

I can see all my fields when I click configure fields. It was defaulted to custom and showing 2 of the fields. When I check all of them I can proceed through my workflow.
However I don't expect the users to have to do this. What I need is when they press create issue, they see the exact fields that are specified in the layout (or all fields would be fine).
The layout works fine for edit and view, but not on the create issue screen.

So when on Custom, if you don’t see the fields in the list and you click where is my field and enter your field it should tell you why the field is not showing and direct you to where to correct. Once corrected it should show for future creates.

I see all the fields in configure fields "Show Fields: All" and I can see them all in "Show Fields: Custom" and check the ones I want.
When I check all fields, they show for me. When the user goes in they aren't all selected. They then have to go in and check the fields they want to see. It's user specific...
However an end user should not have to do that. JIRA should look at the issue layout for Create Issue as I already told the system which fields to show and hide by default.
IMO this is either a bug or they may regard as a feature request.....

Something is missing for me here as this works fine for me. If I have a create screen with fields x,y,z on the screen they appear on my create screen. It is difficult to troubleshoot w/o seeing your setup. You might try Atlassian Support as they can log in and have a look.

Here's the response from Atlassian:
Correct me if I'm wrong, you want to have the same fields from the "configure fields" for all the users correct?
By default, Jira leaves the "All" option and the user can customize it, Jira will leave the last option active so if for example, you select All this will be kept until you change it.
This is an individual user option and is not possible to configure it like a global option but if the users leave it as "All" they should see the fields as you configure them in the screen configuration, we have some feature requests including one to disable that button.
