File X was not uploaded

Hello Atlassian Community!

Today I am getting an error when I try to upload a file into Jira.

I keep getting the following error (See screenshot).

The Size of the File is 2 MB and it is an excel file. I tried uploading excel files which size was smaller and had no problem.

I checked the maximum size in the admin system and it is 100 MB so there should be actually no issue regarding this topic. Yesterday and always has worked fine.

Thank you for your time!

Hi @Sergi Ortega ,

please try to reproduce that error and provide us the error in your atlassian-jira.log in your home folder.

Moreover check in the Javascript console of your Browser if the error returned is not the same described in the following bug Unable to add attachment in new tab

Please check free disk space available on the server.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Hello @Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_

Unfortunately, I am not a developer and I do not know what I should do to reproduce the error.

I checked the available space in the Java VM memory Statistics and there is 53% Free Space in the memory Graph.

I cannot upload any File that is over 1 MB. Would you please be so kind to guide me through the process?

Thank you so much,

Sergi

Hi @Sergi Ortega ,

please, speak with a server admin in order to check if there's enough space on the disk and, in the meantime, to provide you atlassian-jira.log file
