Rohith k July 31, 2024

Hi Team,

We were looking for the below data:

when sprint is selected the below details should be displayed in

Total capacity hours       planned capacity hours          completed capacity hours
   300                                         200                                                100

Capacity                                                                             Planned
----------                                                                            ----------

Name:      Capacity                                                       Name:                Capacity:
User-1       30H                                                              user-1                  10H
user-2        20H                                                              user-2                  10H
User-3        15H                                                              User-3                  10H

Specifically, I am looking to:

  1. Create graphs that show the time spent on various tasks over a specific period.
  2. Visualize the progress of issues based on logged work hours.

I am looking the report like as the attached screenshot.

Any insights, tutorials, or examples would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi @Rohith k,

You could try creating a Jira dashboard by using the Jira's native gadgets such as Filter Results, Sprint Health, Sprint Burndown, Issue Statistics, Two Dimensional Filter Statistics and Pie Chart gadget.

For sure these will cover most of the charts from your screenshot. Unfortunately Jira does not offer a gadget for calculating the total capacity as you need. For this you will need to look app/add-on on the Atlassian Marketplace.

If you take into consideration the idea of a payed Jira app, be aware that our Great Gadgets app might be helpful in this case. For example, it offers an Advanced Issue Filter Formula gadget  that will help you calculate the capacity for a sprint, in the way you want.

Also, very helpful could be the Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget offered by the same app. This will help you calculate sprint data and display it as a multi-dimensional tables or as a chart (as the one from your screenshot).

Hope this helps.
