Hi there,
I'm just testing Jira for future use, but I can't get the Smart Commits working.
Both applications are linked, I can see the bitbucket repos in Jira.
The commits are visible in Jira under development (e.g. 9 commits Latest 8 minutes ago).
But the Smart part is not working like it should in the manual:
JRA-34 #time 1w 2d 4h 30m Total work logged
No work is logged with the commit.
Can anybody help me find the problem?
@Hi @Alexey Matveev and all the others stumbling across this:
If you want to go for a quick test of Jira and Bitbucket you better not use the Google login feature.
What I did and went horribly wrong:
But the evil detail was that Smart commits did not recognize the data posted by myalias@gmail.com belonging to myalias@googlemail.com
You can waste hours on debugging this little detail!
I have followed the manuals and have logged in to Jira Cloud and Bitbucket Cloud with the same email.
Commits are also made with the same email (logged in via Google with same account on both, have also checked an both apps are linked to same Jira account).
Commits are shown in "Related commits" but can't get Smart Commit working.
Have checked and Smart Commits is enabled for the repository.
I have also checked and my user is able to comment and log time.
I can not figure out what is wrong!

I am experiencing similar problems - but only with classic Jira projects. Next-Gen seems to work fine.

Thanks @Alexey Matveev,
I'll start over tomorrow, again.
Just fond another issue that might cause the misbehaviour on the help page.
Notes
The committer's email address must match the email address of a single JIRA Software user with permission to comment on issues in that particular project.
I did sign up with my gmail account and now there are @gmail and @googlemail entries mixed up over the systems.

Hi @Alexey Matveev,
I can log work from within Jira issue view directly with my user.
Just the Smart Comment ist not adding any work to the issue.
Could this be a matter of branches?
There is no branch created for the issue I'm logging work for.

I just checked. That is right. The time is logged in only if you have the branch connected to the issue.

As I got it working now, I don't need the branch to be connected directly to have smart commits working.
