Get UI from a history log

Hello,

There have been some changes made to the description tab on JIRA and I can see it tracked in the History Log. is there a way for me to copy that log and see it as how it would have appeared on the Description tab itself?

I dont need to undo the change rather review the previous ones.

if your ask is to compare before and after description available in changelog, it would be doable. it is in markdown syntax format. A parser may have to be written to identify the differences.

To start with, if your organization permits usage of AI bots like chat GPT, you can ask chatGPT to provide the diff.

Depending on your coding proficiency in a language the parser can be written in that. I don't have a ready POC available that you can reference.

Hi @Nusrat Soogund ,

If you are open to using apps you can use Issue History Dashboard for Jira , an app released by our company.

You can filter the search by Field Updated 'Description'.

In the Value From and Value to you will find the values of field Description before and after the change.

each field (including Description) shows the current value and it not possible to show the previous one.

I do get the previous ones from History log but it is not in a format which I can easily view and review.
