Get users from a users group by passing the name of the user

Hello there- i am trying to create a custom field that calculates based on the assignee of the issue put the group name he/she belongs to even if the user exists in more than one user group.

is this possible with out script?

i am on JIRA cloud edition

You would need to create a script. How are you calculating it?

The closest you could get to a non-script solution would be Automation for Jira. You can play with the web request action and REST endpoints for groups.
