I have 50 Confluence Licenses and 100 JIRA licenses. I have 44 Users with Confluence User Group and 5 in System Admin, with no overlap between the two. I have 98 in JIRA. I am using JIRA as the User Directory for Confluence. I am getting an out of licenses message in Confluence when trying to edit content.
All of the users in JIRA show in Confluence users list, but in the Global Permissions for Confluence, only the Confluence Users and Sys Admin Groups are granted any type of Access to Confluence.
if you are using Jira for managing user licenses then focus there. In User Management if you show active users for confluence is it less than 50? Inspect one user that should NOT have confluence access. Edit that user and see if the Confluence app is checked? If it is then you have user w/ Confluence access that do not need it. scrub your users w/in Jira User Management and disable access.
I don't see the confluence app checkbox, only the confluence user group. Where should it be? How do I get it to show up?
