Getting "The reporter specified is not a user" error while importing CSV formatted data into JIRA

Hi,

I@m getting the following error while importing data from spreadhseet (CSV format data) into JIRA server.

THE REPORTER SPECIFIED IS NOT A USER

This suggests that a user defined in one of the spreadsheet columns does not match the user defined within JIRA.

Check the usernames match between both and update the spreadsheet as needed.

I am also trying to upload from csv and getting the same error. The user is valid and the user name is correct. I even tried uploading with myself as reporter but get the same error.

Also, when I try to search for this reporter and myself, we both exist in Jira but cannot be found when trying to search with the user name (first initial.last name)
