Go back to the previous status from a current status the all other statuses can transition to

Hello,

I have a workflow in Jira where I am allowing all statuses to reach a specific status. 

After I reach this status, I am not able to go back to any of the other statuses.

I tried adding another transition from the status to other statuses (manually) but when trying to save I get an error that I cannot be making such a change on an active draft (what is this joke? it's a draft...).

Is there a way to let a status that all other statuses can transition to, go back to all other statuses without:

1. Manually creating these transitions

2. Re-creating and re-assigning the workflows to the project because of this bug that I can't make such changes on the draft?

i.e.:

To do can go to:

• In progress
• Pending

In progress can go to:

• Done
• Pending

I would like to define that Pending will have a transition to all statuses (To do, In progress)

Hi @Zohar Eylen and welcome to the community!

While the message is a bit misleading, it's trying to state that you cannot make the changes you're trying to make to an active workflow.  Instead, you'll need to

1. Make a copy of the workflow
2. Make the desired changes
3. Remove the old workflow from your workflow scheme
4. Add the new workflow to the workflow scheme
5. Publish the workflow scheme

I do that, but why wouldn't it let me add a transition to an active workflow (in draft mode)?

Good question... I have a similar situation where all I want to do is add transitions, but it won't let me without copying.  Given the similarities in our circumstances, I believe it has something to do with having a number of statuses that allow all to transition.
