Group of Status in Reporting

Hello All,

There is very specific requirement which is asked for Jira Reporting.

There are different type of Jira Status for example In development, in testing, in review etc.

Now i want the report in my dashboard by using any addon like pie reporting or anything else to generate a report which shows the status  like "in development" and "in testing" should be grouped into one name like "in progress" which is not any status just to group into some specific name and status like "in review" or " tester accepted" can group into "in validation" in the report.

Please let me know how we can do it, just dont want to use label because the status of the issue will be change and the issue status will be changed and it will move into another group.

 You could generate a one time report with plenty of workarounds (e.g per labels,or csv export) but it is not possible to get the exact RT pie chart you want.

Since reporting is so limited in jira, I normally export csv's from jira and generate reports from them. These reports are not real time but they do offer the flexibility jira can only dream of.

Did you find answer to your question ? I have the same requirement for my report. I want to caterogeries a bunch of status in to one and plot a Pie chart.
