Have a structure with Progress by Resolution Only with Story Points - same progress % not in gantt

Have a Progress column in structure : Progress based on Resolution Only with Story Points with aggregates  sum of story points. Selected Progress based on story points on gantt chart- but they dont reflect the same. Is there a way to add formula to reflect same progress percentage at structure.gantt level as well?

Would like high level story point progress - on structure.gantt to also reflect based on this .

Hi, Sam, sorry for the belated reply, 

In the "Based On" dropdown there is Progress among "Standard attributes" - this is the Structure's progress - this will make Gantt progress identical to Structure's.

I dont want to change the structure's progress. I would like structure to reflect based on current setting and not on time tracking. Is there a way to reflect the progress based on my current setting on structure show on gantt chart. 

For eg: If i have a structure which has an epic required my multiple sub epics pulled in structure the progress is reflected correctly on Strcuture view but not on gantt chart view.

Hi Sam,

Sorry it seems I did not formulate clear enough - my suggestion does not require changing structure's progress, you can simply use it in Gantt. Open "Based on" dropdown and select Progress.

@Egor Tasa [ALM Works]We just got Structure.gantt and I am having this same problem.  I guess I'm not sure where to find this setting?  In Structure I see the "Based on" pulldown in the progress column, but on the gantt settings I only see a "Progress" pulldown that doesn't have an option that makes sense.

It does have a "Story Points" option, which seems to work for the tasks, but doesn't automatically rollup for groups.

What I'm really looking for is when I have an Epic that has say 20 stories of various SP values adding up to 50SP, I would like the Epic progress bar to show 30% when 15SP under that Epic are closed.  Or 70% progress bar when 35SP are closed. etc.  (And then obviously for it to roll up to the parent Capability and to the Initiative.

The progress can indeed be different in the Structure column and on the chart due to different logic being used in certain setups. If your goal is to see the same progress in both places, then we recommend adding the Gantt Progress column to your structure and using it to display progress instead of the regular Progress column.
