Hi, I am stuck with the following (this is a simplified version of the scenario):
1) Issues created by users in role "developers" should be created in status "Open"
2) Issues created by others (not in role "developers") should be created in status "Created" and are moved to "Open" state by QA
I have considered the solution (suggested her: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/49747/what-is-your-most-valuable-jira-trick) of having all issues entering the status Created and then autotransition to status open, with security constraints on that transition set to users in role "developers". From what I can read this requires XML export -> modification -> import .... but I am using JIRA OnDemand which doesn't allow XML workflow import.
Any ideas?
After my investigation - I can't find any option of auto-advancing issues in JIRA OnDemand ... kindly correct me if I am wrong on this .. it would really make my day :) ... so I have to fallback to less-than-clean-process-and-workflow-fixes to make this simple scenario work .. ?
this is so old.. yet, I have the same issue.

If none of the available add ons have an auto transition, then you're stuck. Manual triage i suppose?
