Help reg Board column color based on status

We created new columns in one of our scrum boards with category type Todo, but on the board settings the column colors still appear in Blue status(In Progress) we expect them to be in ToDo(Grey status)
Basically the first column is Grey last one is showing as Green rest of the columns in middle appears Blue (though they belong to be in To-Do status)

Is there a way to fix this issue?

@Manny It looks like Atlassian has changed their color scheme for the columns/statuses in recent Jira and Confluence Server and Cloud products. So, as per this change, "To Do" is Grey, "In Progress" is Blue, and "Done" is Green. I am assuming you are running one of the recent versions of JIRA.

Also, there is not way to change these colors out of the box in JIRA, and you will have to use a Marketplace add-on if you want this change. Such add-ons have also been suggested by Atlassian team in the above shared community post.

Also, since your Board is not using Software Simplified Workflow, so in order to change the color of any of the statuses/columns on your board, you will have to change the category of the statuses in your Project Workflow to the appropriate one (From "In Progress" to "To Do" in your case).

Thats the issue, the category of the statuses are in ToDo but still on the board they are showing up in Blue color

@Manny As far as my understanding is concerned related to Column/Status colors used by default by Jira, it should be as below:

Any status/column in "To Do" category - Blue

Any status/column in "In Progress" category - Yellow

Any status/column in "Done" category - Green

So, if all your columns/statuses in the middle of the board belong to "To Do" category, they will be displayed in Blue color.

please see the attached screen shot, the columns Accepted and Started should be in To Do status but showing in Blue color as In Progress
