Hi Community I have question related to Jira Automation

NAREIN CM November 30, 2023

I want Jira to verify if the summary data of newly created issue and the issue which is already done or resolved. if the data in both the issues are same then i would like to link both these issues to maintain a chain.

I tried a lot to create an automation still finding issues1.PNG2.PNG

i tried something like the above.

Hi @NAREIN CM

As I understood, you would like to search for existing issues with same summary. So, you should use "For each: Create Branch / related issues" and find issues with given JQL.

Note: Please keep in mind that issues which will be linked might be totally irrelevant. Looking just for the summary may not be enough.

Hi @Tansu Akdeniz thanks for the reply. I appreciate that it is irrelevant. but my use case is very small and the current identified way is using summary. which is the only indicator for now to check the matching issues.

can you please help me with the screenshot of how to do in automation. which i could follow up.
