Hide Epics in the board and still use the Roadmap

Hey dear Atlassian community,

one of my clients would like to remove the epics from the board but still wants to use the roadmap.

So far I always did that with the epic panel, but this time the client does not use the backlog.
Is there another way to remove the epics?

I cannot use the epic panel nor change the filter.. it's a dead end for me so far.

Is this for a company-managed or team-managed project?

And, if they are:

• using epics,
• do not use the backlog,
• do not use the epic panel,
• and you cannot change the filter which is currently including epics, then
• I do not know of a way to hide the epics from the board.  All of the available options to do so with built-in features have been excluded...except...

Are they are using a different workflow for epics?  If so you could have a board column mapping which does not include the status values for epics.

it's a company-managed project and that was what I thought.
They are using the standard workflow.
