~ how to have a collapsible main category filter title and have multiple sub filters underneath that category?
~ how to have new and or/updated stories synched to another board using automation rules?
~ Using CLI commands with Jira Plus in Slack does not show responses back for some colleagues. Whereas on my machine I have no issues getting responses for commands such as:
comment <board-123> this my comment
<board-123>
these commands do not show any feedback at all.
Your help is very much appreciated.
You may want to break down the different topics in separate post with the post title summarizing the issue.
For the other board, you just need to create a board with a filter to capture the issues that you want sync. Anytime you update the issue, it will show up the same on both boards.
For the slack integration, try to identify the differences between your setup and theirs. Sometimes, it could be project permissions, slack granted permission, or a restart of slack.
Not really sure about the first question. Perhaps a screenshot and visual representation may help in solve the how in your situation.
Hope this helps.
Hello Benjamin: Thank you for the quick response.
1- Regarding first item, it's easy to create filters and have them saved in the left pane under filters. I would like to create multiple sun filters and have a main category name assigned to those sub-filters. Simple Example:
main filter1 (collapsible)
* sub-filter-1
* sub-filter-2
* sub-filter-3
adding many filters without meaningful organization/format becomes a jungle in the left pane.
2- As for the synching of new/updated stories from B1 to B2, at minimum I would like:
* new story created for a given Epic, I would like to have the following fields closed to a new B2 story:
- summary
- issue link to B1
- component
- label
- etc.
* for already cloned story, if for example summary changes on B1, the sync would update B2.
I tried using rules but it does not work as expected.
3- I will dig into this issue further.
Thank you.
