How can I add a dropdown of options for 'Environment' system field

I see that we have a system field called 'Environment'. Can I add a dropdown of values to it like DEV, PRD, PRE etc? If yes, where can I add it?

I believe this is a free text field, how do I change the type of the field and add a dropdown of values to it so that users across projects can use this system field called 'Environment'

You cannot change the type of fields, the system Environment field will always be text.

You can add your own select list as a custom field though.

It's not easy, but you can "translate" them to different names.

Hi There!

An Environment field can be added to Portfolio for Jira as Custom Field but it seems different from the system text type Environment field in JiraDC. I would like to add that environment field to our project what can be synced with Portfolio for Jira 2.2. I have no idea how should I refer to it, because in my Jira DC field list only related network element/environment field is listed ( got from our Jira Admins).
