Welcome to the community @Judy Reeder !
Issues can be downloaded in the CSV format for Excel from the global issue search and from the project issue search.
From Project:
Navigate to the specific project.
Click on 'Issues'.
Enter your desired query in the search field, if you have a specific filter you wish to use to fetch the issues.
Click on 'Export issue' > 'Export Excel CSV (all fields)'.
From Global issue search:
Navigate to the Filter section.
Click on 'View all Issues'.
Enter your desired query in the search field, if you have a specific filter you wish to use to fetch the issues.
Click on 'Export issue' > 'Export Excel CSV (all fields)'.
Please follow this documentation piece for more specific instructions and screenshots.
Thank you for the information and quick response! The Instructions said to search in the project or global, is there a way to export from the opened ticket? So then to confirm, it is no longer allowed to attach and download to excel (xls)? How about Word?

You can still attach any type of files to an issue if the Attachment field is enabled for that issue type in your project.
You can no longer download the Excel CSV from the issue itself, you would have to query the issue in the project or global issue search, then export to CSV. You can still download the issue in Word by clicking on the ellipses (...) button on the top right of the ticket then clicking on "Export Word".
