I've created a filter in the ScriptRunner Enhanced Search window that I'm using on a Kanban board.
How can I share that filter in Scriptrunner so that other people can view/edit it? I've been able to share the JIRA view of the filter so that other people can use it on their dashboards, but not in a way that anyone else can view it in the ScriptRunner Enhanced Search window or allow them to edit it.
This is in the cloud hosted JRIA btw...
Hi Adam,
Thank you for your question.
I can confirm that it is not possible to see other users filters in the enhanced search page and edit these due to the architecture of the plugin defining how filters are stored against users.
If this answer has solved your issue can you please accept it in order to mark this answer as correct for users who are searching for a similar issue.

I can't believe this issue has not yet been fixed. How can an organization be expected to support enhanced filters if they cannot be modified by anyone other than the creator? what if I have a developer that set up a bunch of enhanced filters and then leaves the company?
How can someone else manage those filters going forward?

@Kristian Walker _Adaptavist_ , is anyone looking at this issue? I think this ought to be a significant problem for basically any user of scriptrunner enhanced searches

This is still not fixed it appears. As pointed out above, it's not a small issue. These filters should be able to be edited / deleted by any admin.

If a user is due to leave the company, the ownership of the filter can be transferred prior to the user being deactivated.
See Change the ownership of a filter.

@Kristian Walker _Adaptavist_ Hello. Do you know if this will be addressed/fixed anytime soon? As stated above, it's not a small issue. These filters should be able to be edited / deleted by any admin

Hello,
We do not have plans to work on this within the first half of 2025 currently.
Filters can be shared and viewed by users who did not create/own the filter by changing the sharing permissions in Jira or the edit filter pop up on the Enhanced Search page. However, only the owner/creator of the filter can currently edit the query.
You can transfer the ownership of a filter if a new user needs to edit a filter. See change ownership of a filter. We do not currently have functionality for more than one person to be able to edit a filter at a time.
