How can I bulk add checklist in Jira

I do not see any way to bulk add checklist text or checklist JSON to items already created. There is an option to Change Checklist YAML but posting the JSON there doesnt work

Could you please specify whether you're using native Jira action items or a Marketplace app?

The article you're referring to is using https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213231/checklists-for-jira-pro-by-herocoders?hosting=cloud&tab=overview app, so if you're using that, the best course forward would be to reach out to the vendor directly (there's Support tab on each Marketplace listing where you can find contact info)

Hi, It seems I am using a 3rd party app called "Checklist for Jira Cloud". My assumption was the checklist edit option I saw in Bulk Edit was the same but apparently not.

Working with my Admin I was able to get access to create a template under "Checklist for Jira Cloud" Addon and then create a Template Assignment filter to apply the template in Bulk.
