How can I change the order of statuses in the Workflow dropdown?

We have granted certain folks internally the ability to move to any status in our workflow.

The statuses are displayed in a random order underneath the Workflow dropdown.

We would like to order these in a specific order but are unsure of where to adjust that in the settings.  Where can I adjust this?

Assigning an opsbar-sequence key to the status TRANSITION of each status worked for me.

You can add a property to the transition in the workflow to add the Opsbar sequence to set the order

I thought the order of statuses in the pull-down was based on the ordering of the statuses in the Statuses configuration page.
