Hello Everyone,
I am planning to have RTM (Requirement Tractability Matrix) using JIRA. Can anyone provide me detailed steps?
Thanks
Dinkar
Hi,
you can't do it by default in Jira.
You can provide it with Requirements and Test Management for Jira (which is also called RTM).
There is much more than only traceability matrix. You can also arrange whole testing process inside Jira, starting with writing requirements, ending at executions and reporting them.
Here is screen from traceability matrix you are looking for.
Hi, If you please know how to use RTM for a JIRA PROJECT please help me out.
I am Getting an error message here:
It seems that there are missing issue types or issue fields in your jira instance required by our app to work. Please, reinstall "RTM" application in order to bring them back. All your data will remain unaffected.
Doing this also gives the same error.

Hi, to check what is the problem with the configuration we would need to schedule a remote session.
You can book it by Calendly:

Not exactly what you are looking for in an RTM but likely Jira is the best option. Maybe use Confluence for the matrix of the Jira tasks?

Hello Jack,
RTM mean Requirement Tractability Matrix Where we map Requirement to Test Case and Test Case to Defect
Like
Requirement 1 >TestCase 1
TestCase 2-> Defect1
TestCase3-> Defect 2
Requirement 2 > TestCase1 -.Defect 1
TestCase2
TestCase 3
Is this possible to arrange above stuffs in JIRA? Kindly let me know
