On the Dashboard, I would like to create a bar chart with count of 'something' as values on Y-axis. I would like to do this without using any extensions, so that for Dashboarding I don't have to go out of JIRA to any other application (like Power BI, or eazyBI etc.)
Attached is a picture of the graph I would like to create in JIRA.
Without an add-on, I do not think this is even possible.
JIRA has very few bar charts that are not automatically tied to a specific report and all of these have already been programmed to behave a certain way.
Hence, if you are interested in a flexible bar chart, you either need to Create an add-on for this or use an existing plugin.
You can also raise a feature request here.
I hope this helps answer your question.
@Priyanka Yadav as you mentioned not wanting from the Marketplace, you may decide you could design something internally, hence why I am sharing all options to you to consider.
As you rightly said, this would end up resulting in an add-on.

Got it @Ismael Jimoh . As I have a non-techie background, just wanted to confirm I got it right. Thanks a lot, again, for responding.

thanks @Ismael Jimoh for answering.
Just trying to understand your suggestion better. what is the difference between 'creating an add-on or using an existing plugin'. Are these not the same things? Existing plugins I can find on Atlassian Marketplace, but how do we create an add-on?
