How can I create a filter to hide a Task that is in "Removed issues"

Tiziano Viglongo October 24, 2022

I have create this filter:

"End date[Date]" < now() AND project = NITSO AND status in (BACKLOG, BLOCCATA, "To Do") order by cf[10028] DESC

But the output give me also some "Initiative" or "Epic" or "Task" that are in "Removed issues".

I tried to look for a field to include in the query in order to exclude "Removed issues" but I have find nothing.

I don't want to empty the "Removed issues" (I think that will solve my problem), I need a workaround to create a correct query.

Can you help me?

Hello @Tiziano Viglongo

Welcome to the community.

What is "Removed Issues"? Is it a project? Is it a value in a field?

I'm not familiar with a native Jira feature called "Removed Issues". Can you provide any more information or screen images to show us where "Removed Issues" are located or how they are tagged as "removed"?

Hello @Trudy Claspill

Thanks for the reply

I'll try to explain me better:

On the right of the name of plan there is a "..." if you move tre cursor on it yo can seed a label "Plan settings" if you click on it appear a menu:

Configure.JPG

If you click on "Configure" you can see on the left this:

Removed Issue.JPG

Here I find all "Object" that I remove from my Plan.

I need to know if it is possible to exclude this list from the query.

Oh, I see. You are working with the Advanced Roadmap functionality. I have not worked with that functionality before, and was unfamiliar with that option in it.

Unfortunately I don't have enough knowledge to provide an answer for your question.

I recommend that you remove the "Answer Accepted" flag on my response so that other community members will know you still need assistance on this topic.

Hi @Tiziano Viglongo

The Removed Issues is an internal feature of Advanced Roadmap and it is not exposed externally, so it cannot be identified or accessed outside the plan. This means there is no way to filter the removed issues in a JQL query.

I hope this answered your question.

Sara

Hi @Sara Hekmat

Thank you for your reply, sincerely hoped to get a different answer, so that you can solve my problem with the query. But if that's not possible ... I'll try to find another way (eg remove tickets from "Removed Issues" as long as this solution works). For the moment I will not accept your answer hoping that someone else can give me a workaround on my problem.
Thank you very much.

Regards,

Tiziano
