Hi, I'm new using JIRA and I have to create a list field with around 250 names from a csv. I don't want to type all of these names manually, I am looking for a faster way to do that.
Thanks.
Hi @ricard gonzález,
Welcome to this community :)
You can find a solution here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Core-questions/Import-list-of-data-in-drop-down-custom-field/qaq-p/272396
Cheers,
Adrián.
Thanks, but Im trying to do that and JIRA doesn't allow me.
It give me this message:
Nota: Debe asignar un campo al campo de Resumen de JIRA para proceder con el proceso de importación.
And I don't know what is it talking about.
Cheers,
Ricard.

Hi @ricard gonzález,
You need to map the field summary at least for creating e new ticket in your project because it's not possible to create a ticket without the summary field in JIRA.
Then you need to map two fields the summary and the list custom field, then try to import de CSV.
Cheers,
Adrián.

The import trick in that page is using issue import to create the options list. You have to create issues in order to perform the trick (you can always do this in a junk project and delete them later). When you create issues via CSV in Jira, you MUST give it a summary.
