Dear All,

How can I edit the screen by removing the field "Fix version" but only for Epic issue type?

No change for all other ticket types.

This field is not located in Custom Fields, it is not a mandatory field and is not present in the issue layout.

Thank you

Krisztina

This is what I used to create all the regular and even required fields for each issue type.

In summary, create a screen then create a screen scheme and then create an issue type screen scheme.

Hello @Krisztina TEGLASI

Before editing anything, you need Jira admin rights.

I suggest you check in project settings -> issues -> screens to see if your project shares issue type screen scheme   with another project.

If so, you need to copy the issue type screen scheme first to avoid impacting other projects.

If no in the same menu, you will see all the screen settings for all issue types in your project.

  1. You need to copy the screen and screen scheme.
  2. Next, modify the new screen by removing fix versions
  3. and then modify the new screen scheme by mapping it to the new screen.
  4. Lastly, modify your issue type screen schemee by mapping the new screen scheme to your "Epic" issue type.

Hope this can help you

Hello,

Firstly, thank you for your help.

I've completed the task, but I did it on the basis of the above, but as I see it, this field is a mandatory and I cannot remove it from the background--> Scrum Issue Screen.

Hello @Krisztina TEGLASI

You can do it if you have jira admin right, setting  (right top corner) -> issues => sceeen
