Hi Atlassian community,
Please how can I find the administrator of the whole account? I'm actually admin on my client's project, so I thought I was supposed to have all the abilities to config my boards. nevertheless, I only can edit the existing workflow without add another one <Contact an administrator to perform this action>
Also, I can not remove or add issue types for the workflow I edited. <To configure the issue types or change what issue types are available, contact your jira administrator>
For both cases, they ask me to contact my admin and I have no idea how to find her/his contact.
Many thanks for your help.
Welcome to community! I would recommend either opening a ticket with IT at your company or if you scroll down to the bottom of your Jira site, if it was configured there should be a "Report a Problem" button in Jira. If you click that button you can submit a request there and that should go to the admins of your instance.
Best,
Clark
Hi Clark,
Thank you for your quick answer.
I did try to check with the IT team first, but it's a multinational with a worldwide profile. So they couldn't help.
I followed your second recommendation, but the ticket was added on the backlog project. Is it accurate?
Thanks,
Rajaa AK

Depending how the team at your company set it up then yes that's accurate. The team who manages your Jira instance controls their own intake and would have configured it to do that. It's built to only be an email, so if it goes to a Jira board then it means they used an email that routes to a jira board, which is not a pre-built function but something custimized.
Sorry for the late response.
Best,
Clark

One possible way to find a sysadmin is to look in Confluence by going to "Space settings -> Space details" and looking at who all is listed as Administrators:
If you see the same name(s) in several spaces, chances are they have Site admin (or know who is the Site admin).
You have to have Confluence access and Space access to the settings.
Example URL: https://{SITENAME}.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/viewspacesummary.action?key={SPACEKEY}&showAllAdmins=true
Not a guarantee, but I've had users from site I don't manage be able to zero in on the site admin by trying this.
