How can I get the scrum board name via JQL?

We have a project shared by multiple teams each with their own scrum board.

I'd like a JQL to get the openSprint() for a particular board.

From there I'll filter for issues without story points, which is what I'm after.

Alternatively, can I get the board names for all openSprint()'s?

JQL finds issues, not boards (or projects, workflows, users, etc).  An issue can appear on many boards too, so I'm not sure quite what you are looking for here, especially as you've already named openSprint() as the function you probably want.

Thank you for the architectural clarification, Nick. I'll accept that.

Since an issue can be in only a single sprint at any one time, and since every sprint belongs to some board, I was hoping to discover that board. So I'm considering only issues already in an active sprint.

Actually, no, an issue can be in more than one sprint. 

I'd agree that in an ideal world, it absolutely should not be.

Because that tells us that people really have no idea what they're doing and need to have a long hard think about their utterly broken processes.

But, technically, it could be in one, two or many sprints.

Gosh, Nick! Do I detect a note of cynicism about your users? LOL

I see issues with multiple sprints after the issue has rolled from one sprint to the next, but I do not see how to manually add a single issue to multiple future/active sprints. The issue edit dropdown allows only one selection. I'd be interested to know how to achieve this. (Even though it should not be done. :))

In reality, what you think you want to do is nonsense.  So don't do it.  Do what works instead.
